Mumbai, a city that never sleeps, I am a part of this city. 

The streets are always alive no matter what time of day or night it is! The sounds of cars whizzing past us can always be heard and a mixture of echoes, of people laughing, arguing, shouting, casually talking and Bollywood music playing can always be heard. In every corner of the city there is sound, there is activity, there is someone that cannot sleep. 

Pin drop silence, is a rarity I believe in this city so full of life. But sometimes you need to be alone with your own thoughts. Sometimes you want to be a part of the city but not really be a part of the hustle. Sometimes you need inner peace. With a city always moving, moving really fast, I need to slow down, step back and think. That’s all I need sometimes, not only me but also everyone in my family does. 

There, as I sit and watch cars on the street go past me, people walking away hurriedly and vegetable vendors packing up to go home. It feels good to think and sit by myself, come what may, happiness and comfort can be found there because it is my corner. It almost feels like time has stopped for me when I sit there getting cozy. As I sit and sip my coffee I reflect, I think, I feel, I believe that there is magic in the peace that surrounds me. Well what more shall I tell you about my corner? Having your own corner is better than any spa because it is open 24 hours especially for you.

A corner of peace is what we all need. And that’s what we got. It’s a corner where we can think and hear our thoughts and most of all relax. ‘The corner’ is in a small, extended terrace of my room, all it has a transparent acrylic swing with comfy cushions on it. I sit there in the evenings with a cup of hot chocolate in the winters with my blanky and a little something to munch on in the winters. I find peace so get into your corner and snuggle in and feel the magic of peace even in a city that never seems to stop!
