The clown gathered belongings and memories wrapping them up 

as delicately as possible into a suitcase that had seen cities 

and been to places like no other suitcase ever had. 

The clown was waving goodbye to the city, 

yet again reminiscing of the time spent here. 

Time here was over, but the adventures of another city awaited laughter 

and joy that the clown would bring but also experience. 

The thud thud of the tricycle in the trunk of the car came to a halt 

and the clown realized a journey had ended but really his 

journey had began and with a bright smile as air whizzed past. 

The smell of new people, of new stories the clown couldn’t wait to take in. 

I am like a clown, I await adventure, I bid goodbye, 

I gather memories and look forward to making new ones. 

While one journey for my ends, another one begins.

I am like a clown and so are you.
